Rooms were lovely, they do need a little TLC, but they are great for what we needed would definitely stay again! Staff were lovely and you get deals on your food and drink when stopping there! What a good little bonus
Nice place dog friendly, good beer, as the name suggests right beside the river.
What a gem of a bar this is. Friday 20th June was our first visit after we had been on a cruiser on the Ouse. The weather was baking so there was hardly a free seat on the cobbles by the river. We sat inside (I wanted to charge my phone) and the large windows were pinned open. Summer at its best. We didn't eat but if we return I think we will: the food being brought out looked delicious.
A wonderful hotel in a historic building. It is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the shambles, the city walls and many shops, pubs and restaurants. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic little hotel, very affordable and centrally located. Staff were very helpful and accommodating after I had a booking mix up.
I didn’t stay in one of the rooms, however, my family and I ate a meal here and we had a wonderful experience! we entered with seven people and we were in a rush, the staff understood that we needed to finish our meal quickly as we had a tour to attend and they accommodated us so well. They took our orders quickly and cheerfully, likewise our food come out so fast and were just excellent. Over all a great place with even better staff! would highly recommend:)
Beautiful bar. Busy summer Saturday so was slightly crazy but the wonderful Ben looked after us. He was a superstar dealing with a little niggle but hands down sooo helpful. All staff were amazing dealing with everyone who had been day drinking. Well done guys x
Quality little night away , sat on the river bank 2 min walk to the centre of York, room was really nice , breakfast was high quality , discounts on drinks and food if your staying. Staff very helpful, ear plugs might suit light sleepers
